Oh Happy Day!

Hi Dolls!

Today is a good day!

It's really the simple things in life that make me happy......lol

Like after a year of my laptop sitting up in my closet because it would not turn on, (and a year that I have been fighting over sharing with my oldest daughter her laptop) I finally decided that perhaps it was the power cord..... so off to walmart I go (I <3 Walmart!) and $60 later I am on my way home with a power cord, fingers crossed the whole way home that this would work!

I get home rip the power cord out of its package, dig take my laptop out of the closet, plug it in and...........

TA DA!!!!!!

I am now writing this blog post from my computer!!!! (And grining ear to ear!)

lol it really is the simple things.......

and guess who else is almost as happy as me........Princess, who now doesn't have her momma hogging her laptop!

Don't mind the crappiness of the picture.....but this is me, taken with the webcamera on my lap top......see how happy I am!

ok, dolls! I am off to clean up dog crap......this new puppy isn't getting the hint that he is suppose to do that outside.....nonetheless I will still be smiling while cleaning it up! Ha!! I am that happy HA!

Yesterday was a complete wake up call for me! If you read yesterday's post you will know what I am talking about!

And it turned out to be a great day!

*I am pretty sure I aced my biology test!

*I went for an amazing walk (over an hour and about 6 kms)

*I drank 77 oz of water! (aprox 10 cups)

* and I made healthy choices for food and ate in moderation!

I feel pretty dang good!

So if I feel this good after just one day, imagine how doing it everyday would make me feel!

Have a great day!

Tuesday 17 April 2012

So I am sitting in biology class studying for a test I will be writing this afternoon and I can't help starring at one of the ladies in my class..... I have known her since we were teenagers, and even back then she was someone I wanted to look like! She was and still is beautiful! When we were teenagers people would ask if we were cousins because we looked so much alike.... I to this day could never see a resemblance except we both have dark hair, brown eyes and similar complexion. But she always had an amazing body, the kind of body every girl dreams to have, and even in high school I weighed 155 and she would only weigh 120 at the most and we were the same height. Today, with the addition of a boob job she still weighs and looks the same. And here I am 150 pounds more then her. And this makes me so ashamed! I struggle every minute of every day with my weight it's a continual battle..... I pray to God everyday to make me skinny, to help me lose weight! Well guess what.... I got an answer from him today..... While I was feeling sorry for myself and wishing I was skinny a voice came in my head and said.... " to lose weight and to get smaller you need to do the work!" plain and simple! I am not going to wake up tomorrow morning or next week or even next month skinny. I need to do the work! I can do this with God cheering me on, he can help me to make conscious healthy choices about food and to give me a little push to exercise, but he can not make me instantly skinny. And now realizing this makes all the sense in the world! It's my "a ha!" moment! Lol today I consciously choose to drink lots of water and eat healthy snacks and meals without over indulging, and also to go for a 3 km walk this evening and then maybe even some just dance 2 on the wii!

What are you doing today?

I am back on track these last two days with my eating! It feels good to eat healthy! The whole weekend I pretty much felt like crap because I ate crap! I seriously don't know how I used to eat Like that every day!

Anyway along with eating right I also started to incorporate some exercise! I have walked the past two evenings!

Today I am back on track!

I have had a very productive day so far!
Laundry going, house cleaned, both bathrooms scrubbed, kids out side playing, I even did some baking!

Right now I am working on some school work and tonight I am hosting our ladies bible study, so I need to do some planning for that.

Well, just thought I would blog to say hi! I need to get back to biology! Have a good Easter Monday!

Mom of all girls

Hi Dolls!

When I was a little girl and would dream of being grown up, married and the kids I would have, I never once dreamed of having all girls! In fact, I wanted 4 boys!

I grew up in a family of 5 girls, and I was the oldest! We have an older half brother, but he is 10 years older then me, so we didnt have the chance of growing up with him or really becoming close with him. (We are all very close with him today)

Anyway, I didnt get the chance to experience a brother, and I knew all about girls, seeing as I was one and had 4 much younger sisters (P the sister next to me is 6 years younger then me and the baby of the family C is 10 years younger then me) so I didn't want to have girls....I wanted boys!

When I was pregnant with my first Princess, I prayed everyday God would give me son.
In the delivery room when the doctor announced it was a girl, I wasn't disappointed at all! I remember my mom saying to me as they handed me my new baby girl "Are you disappointed? " and my reply was "Not at all! I don't think I would have know what to do with a boy anyway!" lol

With each of my other 2 pregnancies it was the same thing, hoped and prayed for a boy.....but got girls, and wasn't once disappointed!

I absoultey LOVE having 3 girls!

I love all the pretty girl clothes, and the hair bows, and nailposlish, and decorating girls rooms!

Part of me still wants to someday be a mom to a son...(my husband had a vasectomy) and maybe someday we will look into adopting.

But I wouldn't change my girls for anything in the world!
