Christmas in Newfoundland!!!

We are in Newfoundland for Christmas!!

 

In a little town called Port aux Choix, my husbands home town

 

It was a 6 hour drive, a 5 hour boat ride than another 5 hour drive to get us here but we are here!!

 

 

 

Our truck was loaded down with "luggage" ....

 

The girls were snuggled up comfy in the back seat for the long drive



The was tons of no fighting!! lol

 We got a cabin on the boat because we got the night crossing, and I tell you it was worth every penny!! The cabins are super small but have 4 very comfy bunks,satalite tv, and  a washroom with a shower

 

 

We have been here 5 days already!! I have lots more things to post about our trip!! Stay tuned!!

Its getting to that time of year again, holiday parties and get togethers, with family, staff parties and  friends, or even just wanting to look extra nice for Christmas church services!

I know I always have a hard time finding a nice way to do my hair that is different from the every day hairstyles I wear.

Not everyone has the time or money to go and get their hair proffessionally done at a hair salon, I know I always dont!

Monday, Monday....

It sure is Monday......

It's raining, and dark, and gloomy

 

So much for the snow we had on the weekend....its not feeling like christmas anymore.....its feeling more like spring!

 

Yep It sure is monday!!

 

We had a very productive/busy weekend!

 

I love productive/busy weekends!

 

Does anyone else feel that your weekend sets the tone for the following week? I know it sure does for me. If I have a lazy weekend of lounging and not getting a whole lot of stuff accomplished, then that tends to be how my week will play out.....and by thursday I am cranky of all the time I wasted and and all the extra things that now need to be done!

 

But if I have a productive/busy weekend, the week just seems to go a lot smoother!

 

Maybe its starting the week off with a clean(ish) house, and empty laundry room that makes the week go by better.....

 

Or maybe its just me and my quirky ways.....

 

Do you know that I CAN NOT put laundry away unless the bedroom it is being put away in is clean?? Seriously.....I just cant!!

 

What did we get accomplished this weekend you ask? Well let me tell you!! lol

 

I have been wanting to re-vamp our entry way hallway for sometime now, and I have been searching (and pinning ;) ) looking for something that would work.....well alast I have found it!!

We also spent some time at the rink, Princess had a game saturday night and one sunday night....both away games.

1st snowfall

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!!

I woke up to snow this morning!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I am so excited for Christmas this year!!

 

We are going to my husband's hometown, in Northern Newfoundland!!

 

It has been 5 years since we have even been there!!!

 

His family know how to celebrate the holidays!!! Family, Music (they all play instruments) and Food!!!

 

I am so excited that my girls will have this memory of Christmas spent with that side of the family!

 

Last Christmas was very quiet and boring, as we spent it with my family.....they sure dont know how to have a good time!! lol

 

The countdown is on...... 19 more sleeps til we leave for Newfoundland!!!

When I started this blog, it was to get as many followers as possible.....I wanted to be one of those people...lol

 

But I quickly ran out of things to blog about, or time to blog about things.

 

So now I have decided to just blog, so that I have a diary of sorts of my families day to day life.

Weigh in Day

Hi Dolls!

Today is my official weekly weigh in day.

I am down 4 pounds!

But I peeked at the scales a couple days ago, and I was down 4 lbs then, and was disappointed when I stepped on the scales this morning. I guess I just figured I would be down a few more pounds than 4 today.

I mean 4 is great....don't get me wrong a loss is a loss! But I have learned 2 things today.....

1. Don't peek at the scales during the week
2. I have to up my physical activity!

I did really good with my eating this week, and I feel amazing! I even did good ( most days) drinking my water.......However, the physical activity I give my self two thumbs down!

I finished school for the summer this week, so instead of sitting at a desk all day doing school work, I have been home doing housework all day (in between driving the school bus in the morning and afternoon bus routes) and by the time I get home again at 5pm I am exhusted!

Going from sitting all day to on my feet all day cleaning and running errands, is gonna take a couple days to get used to again!

Anyway, a friend invited me to take a bootcamp class with her and I was like "Yeah!!" and I was totally pumped to do this class.......but when the day came to go to the class, I completely chickened out! I was like "What was I thinking? there is no way I can take a class like that, being this big, I will make a complete fool of my self!" and I didn't go......now I wish I did.

My goal this week is to go to that bootcamp class and do the  very best I can do!

I seen this and I love it! Something to keep in mind every time i decide to talk my self out of something good!

Oh Happy Day!

Hi Dolls!

Today is a good day!

It's really the simple things in life that make me happy......lol

Like after a year of my laptop sitting up in my closet because it would not turn on, (and a year that I have been fighting over sharing with my oldest daughter her laptop) I finally decided that perhaps it was the power cord..... so off to walmart I go (I <3 Walmart!) and $60 later I am on my way home with a power cord, fingers crossed the whole way home that this would work!

I get home rip the power cord out of its package, dig take my laptop out of the closet, plug it in and...........

TA DA!!!!!!

I am now writing this blog post from my computer!!!! (And grining ear to ear!)

lol it really is the simple things.......

and guess who else is almost as happy as me........Princess, who now doesn't have her momma hogging her laptop!

Don't mind the crappiness of the picture.....but this is me, taken with the webcamera on my lap top......see how happy I am!

ok, dolls! I am off to clean up dog crap......this new puppy isn't getting the hint that he is suppose to do that outside.....nonetheless I will still be smiling while cleaning it up! Ha!! I am that happy HA!
